Energy Camp Louisiana

Energy Camp Louisiana features one week of fun, action-packed interactive games and activities designed to challenge the minds of high school students during the summer months. The gist of Energy Camp curriculum is to teach students about energy and acquaint them with the many career opportunities available in this field.  During the camp, students participate and compete in activities such as the Marshmallow Blow Gun, Egg Drop Challenge, and Solar Car Races, while learning important life and team building skills.  The week-long program ends with a "What Have We Learned" PowerPoint presentation and an awards ceremony attended by notables from the Oil and Gas Industry as well as educational and community partners.

Camps are led by high-energy, knowledgeable, and respected science teachers from schools representing Bossier, Caddo, and Desoto parishes.  Our Energy Camp Instructors attended the National Energy Education Development (NEED) Program, an intense program specifically geared towards preparing  science educators for the next level of science instruction.  NEED workshops expand and empower teachers with advanced energy knowledge while introducing them to new and creative ways to educate students. See them here at
