CERT Partners

CERT is actively involved as a member of the following organizations:

CERT is an Associate Member of the Southern Growth Policy Board (SGPB), a 14-state economic development initiative, and has been recognized as a Southern Best Practice for workforce development by SGPB at its nationally-recognized annual conference. CERT is also a member of The Intermediary Network (INet), a national association of leading education, workforce, and youth development organizations working in local communities to ensure youth success. CERT also maintains an active membership in the New Media Consortium (NMC), which serves as a catalyst for the development of new applications of technology to support learning and creative expression, and sponsors programs and activities designed to stimulate innovation, encourage collaboration, and recognize excellence among its member institutions.

Southern Growth Policy Board (SGPB)
Southern Growth Policy Board is a non-partisan public policy think tank based in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Formed by the region's governors in 1971, Southern Growth Policy Board develops and advances visionary economic development policies by providing a forum for partnership and dialog among a diverse cross-section of the region's governors, legislators, business and academic leaders and the economic- and community-development sectors. This unique public-private partnership is devoted to strengthening the South's economy and creating the highest possible quality of life.

The Intermediary Network (INet)
The Intermediary Network (INet) is a national association of leading education, workforce, and youth development organizations working in local communities to ensure youth success. Network members connect schools, communities, government agencies, workplace partners, and youth organizations to improve outcomes for youth and help build a future workforce. A group of National Affiliate Members support local organizations in their efforts to improve the lives of our nation's youth. Members also convene local, regional, and state-wide organizations doing similar work to maximize resources and effort.

Council For A Better Louisiana (CABL)
Unique among statewide organizations, CABL promotes ideas for the betterment of Louisiana that cut across political, social and ideological boundaries. CABL's greatest asset has always been its members. The organization draws from a rich resource of citizen leaders who bring a wealth of experience, expertise and fresh ideas to the discussion of important public policies.

New Media Consortium (NMC)
The New Media Consortium (NMC) is an international 501(c)3 not-for-profit consortium of nearly 250 learning-focused organizations dedicated to the exploration and use of new media and new technologies. NMC member institutions are found in almost every state in the United States, across Canada, and in Europe, Asia and Australia. Among the membership are an elite list of the most highly regarded colleges and universities in the world, as well as a growing list of innovative museums, research centers, foundations, and forward-thinking companies.

Cyber Innovation Center (CIC)
Bossier City, Louisiana is home to the Cyber Innovation Center (CIC) and National Cyber Research Park (NCRP). The CIC is focusing on protecting our nation’s interest by becoming a leader in cyberspace and cyber infrastructure research and technology development. The CIC was established to compliment and support the U.S. Air Force in its Cyber mission. Specifically, the CIC is supporting existing cyber components already located at Barksdale AFB - Cyber Combat Development Center, Cyber Strike and Air Force Network Operations Center. The newly established Cyber Command, AFCYBER (P), is also located and Barksdale AFB and being supported by the CIC. As the CIC serves as a conduit between local, state and federal agencies, private industries and academic institutions, it will be building a knowledge-based economy that supports cyber initiatives, education and workforce development.
